Melissa Sanders

Melissa Sanders joined the board of the Evansdale Education Foundation in 2016 to help end communications efforts for the organization.

Sanders has worked in the public relations and marketing sector for nearly 20 years in markets including New York City, Atlanta and the San Francisco Bay Area, and currently serves as a PR/Marketing consultant for entertainment, sports, hospitality and corporate clientele. Prior to this, Sanders served as Senior Director of Marketing and Communications for the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University (Sonoma County, CA) where she oversaw all communications, promotions, marketing partnerships, advertising and sales for the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Hall, Weill Hall + Lawn and Schroeder Hall — which she helped open in 2014. During her many years with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (Atlanta, GA), Sanders oversaw communications for all ASO-related activities, events, brand, recordings and performances at Atlanta Symphony Hall, Chastain Park Amphitheater and Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park — which she helped open in 2008. While with the internationally acclaimed New York Philharmonic (New York City, NY), Sanders developed and implemented strategic publicity campaigns for more than 200 concerts annually as well as international tours and residencies, national radio broadcasts, “Live from Lincoln Center” national telecasts, education programs, special events, summer Concerts in the Parks and NYP recordings
